Edge Controller

In local mode the Edge Controller provides local STT and TTS endpoints. Devices connect to the STT and TTS endpoints using standard network access like wifi or ethernet (extensible to bluetooth, mqtt, etc.) utilizing standard http post requests. Even with no internet access any device which can run curl or connect to a socket can be easily voice enabled.

Pass Thru Mode

In pass through mode the Edge Controller supports a primary and secondary endpoint. In this configuration the primary endpoint for STT or TTS is attempted and if it times out the system falls back to local services in near real time since both requests are initiated simultaneously. Various strategies are employed to improve local recognition accuracy.
